You see here the main window of the program:

  • The hierarchical object tree in the top left corner
  • The widget for direct manipulation of object attributes in the lower left corner
  • Three configurable 3d views of the scene and one camera view

The scene is my favourite example scene where you can see two ants walking between some blades of grass.

The second screenshot shows the same scene as in screenshot one, but with the ant prototype selected.

Prototypes and object links are a powerfull feature of POV-Ray to construct large and complex scenes.

Textures can be previewed in the dialog view. This feature is very useful while creating textures to get a quick impression how the current texture will look like without rendering the whole scene.

The camera supports complex projections like the fish eye projection.

Notice also the control points of the camera. Like all objects you can control the attributes of the camera (position and look_at) with control points in the 3d views.

La capture suivante montre le rendu POV-Ray en action.

Another rendered example scene with refraction and reflection effects.
